Annual Dinner 2011

The 2011 Annual Dinner took place on Thursday 1 September at the Westin Hotel, Sydney.  The evening was a great success with over 780 CEW members and guests attending.

Our Guest Speaker, Amanda Wilson, Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald gave a wonderful and entertaining speech discussing her career in the media, since starting as a copy girl in Melbourne. In addition, she showed a lovely collection of historical photos highlighting inspirational Australian women who ‘gave it a go’ and achieved many ‘firsts’ for women.  A link to Amanda’s speech will be attached shortly.

The raffle proved to be a great success on the night, with prizes totalling $80,000.  CEW raised over $54,000  to support the scholarship program in 2012, which aims to assist women in furthering their careers, enabling more women leaders.
