A member-based organisation comprised of Australia's women leaders

CEW is a member-based organisation comprised of Australia’s women leaders. All of its activities and initiatives are undertaken by its Members on a voluntary basis through its Council and Committee structure. Council and Committees are supported by a full-time General Manager and a part-time assistant

CEW is committed to transparency and rigour in its operations. CEW is governed by a Council comprising: President, Treasurer and Chairs of the CEW Committees, 2 Vice Presidents, state chapter representatives and a long standing member representative. The Council meets at least 5 times a year. Additional detail about the purpose, vision, rules and governance structure is here.

The Council tables an annual Treasurer’s Report which reflects a spending profile adhering to the principles of the CEW. Sustainability, accountability and transparency drive the decision making processes. CEW raises funds through member dues, CEW programs, in-kind donations (eg Westpac offices) and the Annual Dinner. The Annual Dinner is the major fundraiser for the Scholarship fund. The majority of funds are spent on administration, programs and scholarships.
